Oakhill College is proud to celebrate the recognition of its Hilltop Precinct - Commons and Innovation Hub with the Award for Educational Architecture at the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Chapter Awards.
The award recognises the project's outstanding contribution to educational design and acknowledges the innovative learning environments created for current and future generations of Oakhill students.
Located at the heart of the College, the Hilltop Precinct brings together contemporary teaching, learning and community spaces. The Innovation Hub features STEM laboratories, workshops and flexible learning environments designed to encourage creativity, collaboration and problem-solving. The Commons provides a welcoming space for students, staff and visitors, supporting connection and community across the campus.
Designed by BVN, the project was guided by the principle of "building as teacher", with student wellbeing, engagement and future-focused learning central to its design.
This achievement reflects the collaboration and commitment of many contributors. Oakhill College acknowledges and thanks BVN for their award-winning design, FDC and Rohrig for delivering the project, and MostynCopper for their leadership and project management throughout the development.
The College also extends its gratitude to the Oakhill Board, the Board Property & Finance Committee, and the Senior Leadership Team for their vision, guidance and support from concept through to completion.
This recognition is a testament to Oakhill's commitment to providing inspiring learning environments that empower students to thrive, innovate and flourish for generations to come.
