The Duke of Edinburgh Award is non-competitive and encourages young people to set and achieve goals at a level appropriate to their needs and aspirations. It promotes leadership, community service, learning and initiative.
Currently Oakhill College offers Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels. These levels are made up of four Sections: Physical Recreation, Skill, Service and Adventurous Journey. Both levels include Adventurous Journey Expeditions designed to test students beyond their boundaries and experience something new.
Participation is entirely voluntary and participants design their own unique program centered around their interests and passions.
