On Tuesday, 21 May, approximately 130 Oakhill College students and staff attended St Mary’s Cathedral, to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the death of St John Baptist de La Salle. The Most Reverend Richard Umbers, the Auxiliary Bishop of Sydney, led the Mass, that was accompanied by inspirational and uplifting singing and prayerful reflection. The theme of the Tercentenary, One Heart, One Commitment, One Life, represents the fullness of De La Salle’s life and the vitality of Lasallian schools throughout the world.
