Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) Teacher

Full-Time Permanent Position

Commencing January 2023

Due to growth Oakhill College seeks to appoint an innovative, experienced, and highly skilled TAS teacher with excellent communication skills and classroom experience. The successful applicant will have knowledge of current developments in teaching and learning and a passion and enthusiasm for teaching.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, the areas listed below:

Key duties and responsibilities

• Stage 4, 5 and/or 6 TAS teaching experience is highly desirable;

• Teaching Technology Mandatory;

• Ability to teach any other TAS subject e.g. D&T, Graphics, Timber, or Computing is advantageous but not essential;

• Use effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated approaches and a variety of stimulating and interactive resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes;

• Create and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment;

• Managing student behaviour;

• Assessing, providing feedback and reporting on student learning.
